Champions League games ‘every three days in August’ with UEFA poised to confirm plans

The season's remaining Champions League fixtures are set to be played in August under plans expected to be laid out by UEFA in the coming days.

Four of the eight Champions League quarter-finalists are already known, with Manchester City's high-profile encounter with Real Madrid one of the ties still to be concluded.

European football's governing body will meet for more discussions about how to complete a campaign which has been disrupted by coronavirus.

A series of meetings have been set up for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week, to discuss how to proceed in concluding the 2019-20 season amid the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic.
