Dominic McKay started his Parkhead tenure with a bang — as he claimed the club have outstripped Rangers in season ticket sales.
McKay last week hinted at high numbers of renewals when he unveiled new manager Ange Postecoglou ahead of the 2021-22 season.
And in an email sent to supporters on the first official day of his reign, he claims the number of briefs is close to being a sell-out.Last week Premiership champions Rangers revealed all 45,000 Ibrox season books have been snapped up ahead of the 21/22 season but the Parkhead side insist they have passed that number, reaching over 50,000.
That's despite anger over the previous campaign which saw Celtic finish 25 points behind their rivals and losing their grip of the Scottish Premiership.
