She’d always spoken about wanting to become a hairdresser, and one day she asked me if she got an A in her National 5 Drama, could she dye my hair bleach blonde.“I’m quite easy going, so I said yes, not thinking that the kids in the class would hold onto it for two years.”As Zara worked hard toward her goal, her classmates stepped in to support her: “By the time it got to the time of her doing her National 5 exam, all the kids were tutoring and helping her get an A, which she got and is now off doing hairdressing,” he added.However, shortly after her exam success, tragedy struck.
