The three-month trial proposed for Heaton Chapel has been backed by local councillors after details of the scheme were presented at an area committee meeting.
Known as an ‘active neighbourhood’, it will include road closures for motorised traffic on several streets - including Bollington Road, Halesden Road and Briarfield Road - as well as a 20 mph speed limit across the whole trial area.
