Campaign launched to fight closure of Rutherglen Royal Bank of Scotland branch

A campaign has been launched to fight the Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) decision to close its Rutherglen branch.Rutherglen’s MP, Michael Shanks, has started the petition to fight the RBS’s decision to close their only remaining branch in the constituency on September 24.Michael Shanks and concerned residents petitioned outside of the branch on Friday to gather many signatures before it is presented to the UK Parliament and to the Chief Executive of the Royal Bank of Scotland.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
