Cammy Devlin has stuck his Lionel Messi jersey in a vault and now he wants to help Hearts to bank third spot again. The Socceroo was able to grab the shirt of Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain after they knocked Australia out at the last 16 stage.
Devlin has given his priceless possession to his family back home for safe-keeping and they have put it under lock and key in a local bank.
Devlin explained: “I gave it to my family and they have put it in a bank back home so it is nice and secure. My brother is taking care of it.” The midfielder is now looking to the future and he wants to produce some career highs of his own by helping the Jambos to finish best of the rest again.
Robbie Neilson ’s side clinched that last season and it guaranteed them group stage football. Hearts drew at Tannadice and that took them level in third place with Aberdeen.
