CAA’s Hildy Gottlieb Retiring After 48-Year Career

Hildy Gottlieb, the veteran agent most recently at CAA, is retiring this month after 48 years in the entertainment business, the agency announced on Monday morning.

Gottlieb joined CAA in 2022, following its acquisition of ICM Partners. Over the course of her career, she has repped a diverse range of Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Award winners.

Notable clients she’s represented at CAA include Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Bear), Jeff Goldblum (Wicked, Jurassic World Dominion), Kathy Bates (Matlock, A Family Affair), Walton Goggins (Fallout, The White Lotus) and Michael Stuhlbarg (The Instigators, After the Hunt), to name just a few.

Gottlieb joined ICM’s Los Angeles office in 1980 following three years at J. Michael Bloom Ltd. in New York.  “Throughout her career, Hildy has been instrumental in cultivating the careers of remarkable artists,” noted Franklin Latt and Rachel Rusch, Co-Heads of CAA’s Motion Picture Talent department, in a joint statement. “Her superb taste, relationships, and passion served her clients and colleagues well.
