A bus caught fire in Ayrshire this afternoon with flames engulfing the double-decker vehicle.Police Scotland officers scrambled to the blaze on Hayocks Road, Stevenston, at around 4.30pm on Thursday, November 7.Pictures from the scene show the bus, thought to be a Stagecoach vehicle, consumed by bright flames while thick, black smoke billowed into the sky.Pedestrians were warned to stay away from the area by officers, while police confirmed they have launched a probe to establish how the fire started.
No one is believed to have been hurt in the blaze. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.35pm on Thursday, November 7, we received a report of a bus on fire on Hayocks Road, Stevenston. “There are no reports of any injuries.
