Buckingham Palace has denied claims that a date for King Charles III’ s coronation has been officially confirmed. Earlier this week, it had been reported that the coronation would take place on June 3rd next year, with an anonymous government source telling Bloomberg that “plans are converging on that Saturday near the start of the summer”.
The date would’ve held a particular poignance for the Royal family as it served as a nod to her late majesty herself; falling 70 years and 1 day exactly, since her own coronation back in 1953.
However a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace has since confirmed that this is “purely speculation” and that no official date has yet been decided.
