A brother and sister who incubated a box of Marks & Spencer quail eggs can’t believe their cluck after ending up with 12 chicks.
Mum Emily Moorhead warned Ray, seven, and Pearl, four, they were unlikely to get results as they started their lockdown experiment with the 24-egg box.
But two-and-a-half weeks later they heard chirping and heartwarming footage shows Ray beaming next to the hatching eggs, saying: “We are hatching a baby chick. "Mummy thought none would hatch but she’s actually wrong.” Have you got a quirky story?
