Raisin.co.uk shows an 810 per cent increase in new customers joining the cash savings service since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
The survey of 2,000 UK savers discovered how spending habits have changed during lockdown and how much the UK has been saving on average.
The data showed that the average Brit has been saving up to £700 per month, which amounts to £1,750 since the UK Government lockdown restrictions came into place on March 23.
That’s the equivalent of over £1.8bn in savings based on recent research which revealed 10.8m Brits save regularly every year.
