The suspect, a 57-year-old British man named only as David S, was detained in Potsdam, near Berlin. The arrest on Tuesday (August 10) was made as part of a joint investigation by German and British authorities, a statement by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office said. READ MORE: The suspect is accused of forwarding documents obtained in the course of his work to a representative of a Russian intelligence service in return for an unknown amount of cash, according to the statement.
