Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Britain's Got Talent fans noticed Simon Cowell was MIA from the show's judging panel on Saturday. The ITV talent series has returned for another season but music mogul Simon is nowhere to be seen.

Some viewers at home were confused by his whereabouts until Twitter users reminded them he was in a serious bike crash last month.

It means Simon, who is on the road to recovery, is unable to take part in the show for the meantime. Diversity star Ashley Banjo is taking the hotseat while Amanda Holden is replacing Simon as head judge.
