holiday in Spain.Steven Nodwell - a 29-year-old father of three - claims he was subjected to the brutal beating after being chased by a group of men in the resort of Salou, where he had been enjoying a break with friends, reports The Mirror. He has since undergone multiple operations and remains stranded in Tarragon hospital, as his injuries mean he will be unable to fly home for more than a year. His sister Bethan has subsequently set up a GoFundMe page, which has already raised more than £5,000, to help bring her brother back to the UK by car or ambulance. On the page, she says: ''My brother was left for dead whilst holidaying in Spain.

A gang of local men chased my brother and, after brutally attacking him, they threw him off a cliff.''It is only through sheer determination and courage that, despite his life threatening injuries, he managed to get up and walk for help.

Had he not done that, the outcome could have been tragically different."Steven, who is from Weston-super-Mare in North Somerset, was nearly killed, his sister went on to state, adding: ''These men attempted to kill my brother and now we need your help.

Steen has two broken arms, one of which is a compound fracture, a broken jaw, a fractured eye socket and skull, a shattered cheekbone, internal injuries and more.To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here.''He needs several surgeries all of which are covered through his GHIC card thankfully.
