A man found dead at a house in Salford - sparking a murder investigation - has been named by police as Andrew Wishart. Officers were called to reports of an assault on Agecroft Road in Swinton at around 9.10pm on Tuesday evening (February 1).

Andrew’s family has now paid tribute to him in a statement issued via Greater Manchester Police. His loved ones described him as a ‘doting father’ and a ‘loving partner’.
His parents said: “Our family are shocked at the sudden and tragic death of Andrew. “We are at this time grieving as a family and we appeal to any persons with any information that can assist the police with the investigation into his death. "He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
