A boy who died after getting an electric shock at a Blackpool hotel has been named. The 10-year-old was in critical condition for four days after he was found unresponsive at Tiffany's Hotel in Blackpool, Lancashire on Sunday September 3.
Jack Piper-Sheach, from Wales, died surrounded by his family at his bedside on Thursday September 7. Emergency services were called out at around 10.40pm following the incident in the reception area of the hotel.
Lancashire Police said that the boy was not responding when when the 999 call was made and his injuries suggest a "high voltage" of electricity was involved.
The hotel has voluntarily closed its doors and that it is co-operating with police and council enquiries. Try MEN Premium for FREE by clicking here for no ads, fun puzzles and brilliant new features.
