The bus driver who died in a horror motorway crash which also claimed the life of a teenage girl has been named. Dad-of-two Stephen Shrimpton died following the incident on the M53 earlier this morning (Friday 29 September).
A GoFundMe page set up by his family says he 'suffered medical issues' while at the wheel of a coach carrying schoolchildren on the motorway, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The school bus overturned while it was taking pupils to West Kirby Grammar and Calday Grange Grammar School in Wirral. Earlier tonight police said that 15-year-old Jessica Baker also died in the crash, which happened at about 8am between J5 for New Chester Road to J4 for Brimstage Road.
Mr Shrimpton's family have now released a tribute. READ MORE: Schoolgirl, 15, who died in horror motorway crash named and pictured READ MORE: The top stories across the M.E.N.
