Joe Otterson TV Reporter The “Bosch” spinoff about cold case detective Renee Ballard has added Courtney Taylor to its cast, Variety has learned.
Taylor will star alongside previously announced series lead Maggie Q in the untitled series, which was picked up to series in November 2023.
Like “Bosch,” the series will be based on the work of author Michael Connelly. The show will follow Ballard as she is tasked with running the LAPD’s cold case unit.
Per the official logline, “When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she’ll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch, to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.” Taylor will appear in the series regular role of Samira Parker.
