Taylor Swift breaks silence on Southport attack in devastated statement saying 'these were just little kids'

Taylor Swift has shared a statement following the horrifing stabbings in Southport on Monday (29 July).Two children were killed and six are in critical condition following an attack at a Taylor Swift themed event at a dance studio.

Writing on social media, American singer Taylor said: "The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I'm just completely in shock. "The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders.These were just little kids at a dance class.

I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families." The horrific incident happened on Monday when Merseyside police were called to reports of a stabbing in Stockport.

Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy said that it is understood that the children were "attending a Taylor Swift event at a dance school when the offender armed with a knife walked into the premises and started to attack the children inside".Two children lost their lives, nine more were injured in the attack, and two adults are also in a critical condition.
