Boris Johnson could lose his seat at next election 'if opposition parties cooperate'

A seat by seat analysis shows the Prime Minister would lose his 7,200 majority in Uxbridge and South Ruislip on the edge of London at the next general election if opposition parties work together.
The survey for the Best for Britain campaign group which backs cross-party co-operation at elections, showed Labour on 33 per cent, the Conservatives on 26 per cent, Libs on seven per cent and the SNP on three per cent of the UK-wide vote.
The in-depth constituency level MRP polling also showed that if Labour, the Lib Dems and the Green Party cooperate with each other at the election Labour are projected to win 323 seats and the Liberal Democrats 13 seats.Best for Britain claims that would put Keir Starmer in a position to form a coalition government without the help of the SNP which could have 53 MPs.However, if UK opposition parties fail to work together, the polling projects that in the most likely scenario Labour will still fall 18 seats short of an overall majority, leaving them reliant on SNP MPs to form a government.This analysis comes as new polling on behalf of Best for Britain shows that 54 per cent of Labour supporters and 56 per cent of Lib Dem supporters want the leaders of both parties to work more closely with the GreensThe polling was undertaken throughout April 2022 which saw partygate and the Prime Minister’s fixed penalty notice, the Chancellor’s non-dom scandal and the rising cost of living all converged on Downing Street.Despite this, Labour would not be able to form a majority alone Best for Britain said.Naomi Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Best for Britain, said: “Once
