The Irishman ended the season as the club's top scorer with 19 goals and only Cambridge United's Paul Mullin found the back of the net in League Two more regularly than Doyle did.
Doyle penned a three-year deal last summer after joining Wanderers from Swindon Town, with whom he had won promotion with and ended the curtailed 2019/20 season as the division's top scorer.
Though not quite reaching the 20 goal milestone this season, Doyle was happy with his campaign and delighted to help Wanderers become a League One club once more.
