Levenshulme resident Andy, who tweets as @Lets_getcycling, shared a photo of the bollards on social media over the weekend and said he was ‘not convinced how practical they will be’.One photo showed three bollards on a small patch of pavement, with Andy asking: ‘Surely we could have had 1 bollard instead of 3 here?’Andy also expressed concern that the bollards had only been installed on one side of the road and did not carry on for the entire duration of the road.“All the bollards are really doing is stopping footway use and pushing the problem further down the road,” Andy told the Manchester Evening News.“The opposite side of the road doesn’t have any bollards so presumably cars will just park on that side and it isn’t going to add any.
