He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. The company has claimed that it cancelled the purchase because it believed he was a car dealer, which breaches part of the sale contract. "They checked the car before, they checked me a while before, they should know," he told Hull Live. "They wasted my time.
I want to highlight the case to warn others."Earlier this month, Qerreti sold his Mercedes Benz S Class to one of the company's stores in Hull.A payment of £33,097.25 was set to reach his account by 8pm the following day but he was shocked to receive a call because the purchase had been cancelled - and he had to "immediately pick up the car". At 10am on September 17, the company informed him via e-mail that the purchase had been cancelled because they believed he was a car dealer.Qerreti said he intended to pick up the car but about an hour later he received a Government email that read: "DVLA have been notified electronically that you have sold/transferred this vehicle into the motor trade and are no longer the keeper."He claims he explained the confusion and informed them in person, at the store, and via email and calls that he was no longer the owner of the vehicle.Almost a week later Qerreti claims he has been left without the purchase money or the option to pick up the car as the Government notification states he is no.
