'Black Panther 3' Producer Addresses Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa Recasting Rumors

Marvel Studios executive producer Nate Moore is reacting to all of the rumors surrounding Black Panther 3.

Back in November 2024, Denzel Washington let it slip that a third Black Panther movie is in the works and that director/writer Ryan Coogler is writing a role for him in the new installment.

It has recently been speculated online that the role of T’Challa, which was played by the late Chadwick Boseman, was going to be recast. Chadwick originated the role in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, which was followed by the Black Panther standalone movie in 2018. Keep reading to find out more…In a new interview with ComicBook, Nate denied the recasting rumors. “The truth is, there’s no truth to those rumors,” Nate said. “Never say never to anything, we haven’t really had a lot of creative conversations with Ryan Coogler yet, because he’s finishing his film Sinners, which comes out this year.” “We’ll get into it later this year, but everything you read online is not true, if for no other reason than we just haven’t started [working on it],” he added. Nate is set to depart Marvel Studios in the coming weeks, but will continue to work with the studio for Black Panther 3.
