Billy Connolly's documentary on ITV on Monday night had viewers in tears as they remembered his best moments as he bows out from comedy.
Billy, 78, was diagnosed with degenerative Parkinson's disease in 2013, and some fans thought he looked his years at last. He quit touring back in 2017, and in his new documentary he talked about his "new lease of life" and looked back on his career.
Stars including Elton John, Paul McCartney, Whoopi Goldberg, and Russell Brand paid their respects to Billy in the touching documentary that recapped his long career.
Billy said: "I have done my stand-up. I did it for 50 years. I did it quite well. And it is time to stop. "My illness, my Parkinson’s disease, has rendered me different.
