The Big Brother housemates had to be evacuated after the fire alarm sounded in the iconic house last night. The alarm was triggered on Monday evening (14 October), leading to ITV's live stream being interrupted and replaced with bird song while the situation was dealt with.
An ITV spokesperson commented: "The housemates were evacuated from the Big Brother house for a brief period yesterday after a fire alarm was activated.
The safety and security of our cast and crew is always of the utmost importance." According to the PA news agency, "there was no fire and there was no cause for concern during the incident".
This event occurred following Monday night's show, where Khaled, a 23-year-old sales manager from Manchester, accused Ali, a 38-year-old forensic psychologist from London, of vilifying him, reports the Daily Record.
