Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin has said he is "just trying to do his best" to manage his diabetes. The professional dancer was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes - a chronic condition in which the body struggles to produce enough insulin - as a child.
He is often seen being aided with a white sensor on his arm, which is often seen when he is taking part in the BBC One dance contest, and has told how he finds it so rewarding when he connects with fans who suffer from the same thing.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV show, he said: "It's not easy. Obviously, it's a condition that you carry with you every single day.
