Strictly Come Dancing star Montell Douglas was said to be 'comforting' her professional dance partner Johannes Radebe as they faced another fight for their place in the competition.
As fans saw over the weekend, the pair landed in the dreaded dance-off for a third time in a row. It came after they had delivered an emotion-packed rumba to I’m Here from The Color Purple, for which they scored 32 out of 40 points during the quarter-final which was also the show's Musicals Week special.
But they were sadly defeated in the dance-off by former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec after they reprised their Argentine tango to Ex-Wives from Six The Musical, which had earlier landed them a near-top score of 38 out of 40. Darren Stanton says they were both ‘sad’ to leave but knew that their fate was already sealed. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren says it was down to Montell to reassure her ‘upset’ professional partner even though she had some ‘contempt’ for the result.
