BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Carlos Gu given major boost as gets celebrity partner update Strictly Come Dancing star Carlos Gu has been given a major boost after not being given a celebrity partner this year.
The dancer missed out on competing in the 2024 run of the BBC One dance contest. Strictly returned with a brand new series back in September with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman officially kicking off proceedings as they returned to the iconic ballroom.
The 20th-anniversary series is now heading into week nine - and its annual Blackpool special - but as fans know, some dancers e missed out on having dance partners this year.
As well as Carlos, Lauren Oakley and Kai Widdrington were also not able to compete this year, however, Lauren has since been drafted in to replace Amy Dowden due to injury.
