It's been a long wait but the iconic Strictly Come Dancing ballroom is ready to see its next contestants. From this weekend the sparkles, the fun and the impressive routines will once again be filling our TV screens as the BBC One dance contest returns.
The Strictly journey - and the road to Christmas - will officially begin when the launch show airs on Saturday, September 14 at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The pre-recorded launch show will this year's celebrities paired with their professional dance partners for the first time while the dancers perform an "empowering" routine to celebrate Amy Dowden’s return. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be back to host the show and keep the Strictly ship running as smoothly as possible every Saturday night.
