BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans spot JB Gill's 'secret message' as performance divides

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were quick to spot JB Gill's nod to his roots as he took to the dancefloor once again alongside professional dance partner Amy Dowden.

The pair were riding high heading into their second week of training having topped the leaderboard during week one of the BBC One dance contest last weekend for their waltz to When I Need You by singer Leo Sayer.

After such a high score in the first week, all eyes were on JLS star JB and Welsh dancer Amy as they returned to the iconic ballroom on Saturday night (September 28) as all 15 couples performed again, this time with the public able to vote to save their favourites from the first axe of the 2024 series. They delivered a slick routine to Closer by Ne-Yo which featured sharp movements and chest pops. While Craig Revel Horwood felt there was “too much attack”, he said the singer and presenter's hip rolls blew him away as well as praising his “timing, musicality and performance”.
