Chris McCausland has admitted to feeling 'sad' as Dianne Buswell revealed his 'struggle' over the first results show of Strictly Come Dancing 2024.

On Saturday night (September 28) comedian Chris and pro dancer Dianne performed in week two of the BBC One dance contest and landed a score of 29 after gliding across the dancefloor and performing bench work with his partner Dianne Buswell to Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy by The Tams.

After giving the comic a standing ovation, head judge Shirley Ballas praised him as "an example to every celebrity upstairs when it comes to footwork," while Anton Du Beke said: "You are just wonderful". It was Olympic swimmer Tom Dean and professional dancer Nadiya Bychkova who became the first couple to be eliminated from the competition this year following a dance-off against Toyah and Neil Both couples performed their routines from Saturday night again, with Tom and Nadiya performing their Cha Cha to Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind and Fire then singer Toyah and Neil performed their Jive to Nutbush City Limits by Ike and Tina Turner.
