BBC's Clive Myrie details secret health issue he's suffered from 'for years'
dailyrecord.co.ukTelevision presenter Clive Myrie has opened up about a health condition he has lived with “for years”.The Mastermind host has previously discussed how he and his wife Catherine love to travel, even opting against a family of their own to see the world.
But the 52-year-old’s love of travelling has been mired by a health condition.Speaking on The Travel Diaries with Holly Rubenstein last year, Clive was discussing the moment he returned to Kingston, Jamaica, to see his parents’ family.
Clive’s parents left Jamaica and headed to Bolton as part of the Windrush generation of post-war migrants.When Clive was aged 10 or 11, he said he went to Jamaica with his family to experience the country for the first time - having been born in Lancashire along with his younger siblings.
However a young Clive “whinged” all the time, saying the Caribbean island was “too hot” and he was “bitten by mosquitoes”.Clive, who has toured the world reporting from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and most recently, Ukraine for the BBC, also revealed he was hit with travel sickness during his time in Kingston.
