BBC EastEnders Nish Pansear star commends 'brave' wife as she undergoes cancer treatment

EastEnders' Navin Chowdhury has shared a touching tribute to his 'brave' wife Charlie following her cancer diagnosis.Navin - who first joined EastEnders as Nish Pansear in 2022 - first appeared on screens following his character's 20-year jail term for murder reports the Mirror.After he tricked his on-screen wife Suki into rekindling their life, she had an affair with Eve Unwin, leading Nish to try to kill again.Over the festive period, Nish was skelped over the head by Denise Fox when he tried to pull Suki out of the pub.Nish was knocked out, but things got worse when Keanu Taylor arrived and nearly killed his wife Sharon Watts.

In a shocking turn of events, Sharon's best friend Linda Knight stabbed Keanu in self-defence. Suki, Sharon, Linda, Denise, Stacey Slater and Kathy Beale were famously called 'The Six' in a storyline that covered up Keanu's murder.With the ladies feeling sceptical, Nish woke up from his coma after his attack and returned to Albert Square determined to uncover the truth.However, away from the camera, Navin's life is very different but just as dramatic.

His wife Charlie - who he married in 2012 - had surgery for breast cancer in February 2023 after she was diagnosed in 2020.The star often shares updates about her progress on Instagram.

The 53-year-old, took a moment to honour his brave wife and all the strong people fighting cancer. "My wife was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer back in the summer of 2020, and like so many of you out there, it just opens a door to a world you hope you never see," he said.He shared his thoughts whilst waiting for her to come out of surgery.
