BBC EastEnders fans puzzled as they make plea to soap bosses after star is axed

Photos of the pair reading scripts on the EastEnders set were shared to the BBC soap's Instagram account.Tony, 32, portrays Callum Highway in the soap, while Perry, 61, plays Billy Mitchell.The duo looked to be in good spirits as they studied new scripts together on the Walford market. "We wonder what scene they're reading... #EastEnders," the caption read.
Fans flocked to share their theories, with many looking for clues about upcoming storylines, in particular Ben Mitchell's mystery exit.
Actor Max Bowden, who plays Ben, will be leaving EastEnders later this year. Details surrounding the character's exit storyline have not yet been revealed.
As Ben is happily married to Callum, many fans have been wondering what his departure will mean for their relationship as it is understood that Callum won't be leaving.
