BBC EastEnders star lands huge Hollywood role with Tom Hanks 16 years after soap exit

EastEnders star Mo George is swapping Albert Square for the glamour of Hollywood as he has bagged a role in a new movie with Tom Hanks, 16 years after he left the soap.

Mo is famed for playing Gus Smith on EastEnders from 2002 to 2008, and now he's going to be in the new release, which is called 'Here'.

On Thursday, Mo, who is 41, shared his happy news online. He shared a picture of himself dressed in a regal outfit and another one of him in his dressing room getting ready.

He also posted a snap of all the actors together and wrote: "In good company." With his pictures, he told everyone: "My first Hollywood Film Audition and I got the part.Thanks to the American Film producers who gave me a chance to advance with my craft.
