BBC Countryfile viewers have slammed the show following a 'woke' episode - claiming there's a 'lack of balance'.Viewers of the show have hit out and savaged the programme during Sunday night's episode which saw Matt Baker and Charlotte Smith visit Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, the inspiration for Winnie the Pooh's home of 100 Aker Wood reports Birmingham Live.Writing on Twitter/X about the link to the fictional character, one sniped: "CBeebies edition of #countryfile today then."Another agreed: "Blue Peter edition #Countryfile." A third fumed: "@BBCCountryfile what about food supply in your topics?

At the top of the show, Charlotte began: "Ashdown Forest in East Sussex is a diverse landscape of open heathland, hills and is a haven for wildlife."Matt continued: "It is the inspiration behind A.A Milne's 100-acre Wood from Winnie the Pooh." Charlotte explained: "One of our most loved literary characters whose story began a century ago." Matt said: "And to celebrate, of course, we are going on a bear hunt."The pair duo the woodland to learn more about this ancient woodland and its infamous honey-loving bear.
After a game of Pooh sticks with Charlotte on the real-life Pooh Sticks Bridge, Matt went on a bear hunt with Pooh fanatic and local museum curator Neil Reed to hear about the life of writer AA Milne and the forest’s magical landmarks that feature in his iconic stories.Matt also joined a group of volunteers who are protecting the forest’s precious lowland heaths.
