Sally Nugent voiced her concern for colleague Jon Kay during Monday's edition of BBC Breakfast, as he reported live from Washington.
With the UK being five hours ahead, it meant that Jon was yet to catch some shut-eye while delivering the latest election news.
After his last segment, Sally remarked: "Jon, you still haven't said when you're going to sleep. I am going to worry about you all day now." Jon chuckled in response: "I have no idea." Ben Thompson chimed in with a caution: "Pace yourself, it is going to be a long week, we might not see you for a few weeks if it keeps going on and on." "Pace yourself, Jon, we will see soon," he reiterated as he said goodbye to his co-star, reports the Express.
Throughout the broadcast, Sally and Ben frequently switched over to Jon, who provided updates through a video link. Nevertheless, some viewers were less than pleased, questioning the necessity of spending TV Licence funds on sending Jon to the States.
