The 55-year-old presenter is typically seen alongside his co-host Sally from Monday to Wednesday. Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt then host from Thursday to Saturday, while Ben Thompson and Nina Warhurst helm the Sunday show.
However, on Wednesday's broadcast, Jon was instead accompanied by Nina. While no official explanation for her absence has been provided, Sally shared an image on her Instagram Story on Wednesday morning, which seemed to be taken from the window of an aeroplane, reports the Express.
Throughout the programme, Jon and Nina delved into some of the day's most pressing news stories from within the BBC studios.
