Barbara Windsor’s grieving hubby has spoken movingly about the national treasure’s funeral. Celebrity pals joined Scott Mitchell to bid farewell to the EastEnders and Carry On legend.
And there were tears of laughter as well as sadness as Barbara, who died last month aged 83, was laid to rest on Friday. Yesterday, Scott, 59, spoke about the funeral to the Sunday People.
He said: “It was heartbreaking but intimate, a lovely send-off.” Mourners at Golders Green Crematorium in North London were limited to 30 due to Covid-19.
But those paying their respects to Babs, who had battled Alzheimer’s, included David Walliams, Matt Lucas, Christopher Biggins, Paul O’Grady and Ross Kemp.
