evoke.ieThe BAFTA TV Awards had already announced that they would have holograms for the celebrities (and some fans) who weren’t able to attend the red carpet and ceremony in person but we had imagined them more Sci-Fi-like, less paper dolls.
While the technology certainly caught people’s attention, it did raise a few eyebrows over the actual look of the holograms.
Only the faces of those holographic attendees were visible through a cut-out hole, with their body replaced by a 2D image of a sparkling digital red outfit.
Despite the promise you could pick your own red carpet ensemble, it appeared as though you could simply choose between a red suit or a similar sparkling dress.
