John Paragon, known for playing Jambi the Genie on Pee-wee's Playhouse has died at age 66.The star reportedly died from "unknown causes" with the Riverside County coroner telling TMZ John died in April and the cause of death is still unclear.The late actor starred in the hit US TV show where his character's face would appear in a jeweled box whenever Pee-wee Herman wished for something.Fans of the iconic programme will remember John's character always dressed in blue makeup while wearing a red and gold turban.John also voiced the part of Pterri the Pterodactyl on the show.The star also wrote several episodes of Pee-wee's Playhouse, and wrote the Christmas Special back in 1988 with Paul Reubens.The hit TV show ran on CBS on Saturday mornings.
