It follows Donnie, a comedian and bartender, who meets Martha, a woman who rapidly develops an obsession with him. The chance encounter triggers all sorts of emotions and memories in Donny, who explores romance and various traumatic events in his life as the series develops, delving into topics like sexuality, abuse, and violence in ways that feel novel, brave, and personal.
Through it all there’s Nava Mau, who plays Teri, Donny’s love interest.
