These 20 series — which each of us listed in alphabetical order — represent the full diversity and breadth of the year’s standout releases to date. “Baby Reindeer” is comedian Richard Gadd’s fictionalized account of his being stalked and harassed during his twenties.

The Netflix limited series, which has become a sensation, follows Gadd as Donnie, a bartender and aspiring comedian who unwittingly becomes the object of a woman named Martha’s (Jessica Gunning) desire.
