Laporte was absent for the Premier League defeat to Leeds at the weekend, with Pep Guardiola confirming before the game that the Frenchman had a hip problem. "Laporte had problems yesterday [Friday] in the hips and doctors said he could not play," Guardiola said before the game.
He later confirmed that the centre-back would be assessed and he would know more on Monday over their availability for the Champions League quarter-final second leg this week.
