Gene Maddaus Senior Media WriterA 14-year-old and a 16-year-old were among the eight people who died at the Astroworld Music Festival in Houston on Friday night, according to the city’s mayor.The other victims ranged in age from 21 to 27, said Mayor Sylvester Turner. “This incident is being thoroughly investigated and reviewed,” Turner said. “It is important for us to ascertain, last night, what took place, what happened, where missteps may have occurred.”Some 50,000 people were in attendance at NRG Park for the festival’s first night.
Travis Scott was performing at 9:15 p.m., when the crowd began to push toward the stage.Twenty-five people were taken to the hospital, including 11 who were in cardiac arrest, officials said at an earlier.
