ASOS has denied 'stealing' a crop top design from a small brand after a wave of complaints on social media. Clothing firm Chnge alleged the retailer had copied its 'butterflies crop top' design in a Twitter thread this weekend.
However, ASOS claims the product was supplied by a third party and it had no involvement in its design or manufacture. The fast fashion website has removed the item from sale while an investigation takes place.
It comes after furious fashionistas bombarded the company's Instagram account with complaints about the allegation. On Sunday the Chnge Twitter account posted: "Hey @ASOS can we please talk about the design you directly copied from our small sustainable label?" The tweet was accompanied by two pictures
