‘Ash’ First Look: Sci-Fi Horror From Flying Lotus Sets 2025 Theatrical Release Date (EXCLUSIVE)

Jack Dunn RLJE Films and Shudder have unveiled the first teaser poster for their new sci-fi horror “Ash.” The second feature from Grammy-winner Steven Ellison, aka Flying Lotus, is set for a wide theatrical release on March 21, 2025.

The official synopsis reads: “On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (Eiza González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Aaron Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive.” Additional cast members include Iko Uwais, Beulah Koale, Kate Elliott, Beulah Koale, Ellison and Andrew B.

Miller. Ellison serves as the film’s composer as well as director. Jonni Remmler penned the script. Nate Bolotin of XYZ Films and Matthew Metcalfe of GFC Films serve as producers.

Executive producers include Neill Blomkamp and Echo Lake Entertainment. RJLE Films serves as distributor. Rapper and producer Ellison debuted his first feature “Kuso” in 2017, which he followed up with a segment in 2022’s “V/H/S/99” titled “Ozzy’s Dungeon.” Shudder was launched in 2015 by AMC Networks as a platform dedicated to horror and thriller fanatics.
