Asda is set to open a brand new store in the city centre — but it’ll be unlike its other Mancunian shops. The supermarket chain is applying to open an Asda Express on Oxford Road.
Should planning permission be granted, the smaller version of the supermarket will open inside the Circle Square development.
Asda’s arrival at the development will break an established pattern of openings on the site, which currently is home to craft beer bars, a bao bun restaurant, and trendy brunch spots.
