Arsenal flop Emiliano Viviano has taken some of the credit for the success of Bruno Fernandes. The former Italy international goalkeeper failed to make an appearance during a one-year loan deal that the Gunners decided not to make permanent after the 2013/14 season.
However, the veteran believes that he gave Fernandes plenty of support during their season together at Sampdoria, which ended with Fernandes returning to Portugal before joining Manchester United.
The 35-year-old has insisted that he was aware of his team-mate's potential when some others might not have been, with Fernandes since shining in the Premier League and Champions League.
